  8. Subject: where does /usr/local/lib/texmf/fontname/special.map come from?
  9.
  10. Hi Folks,
  11.
  12.     I've installed TeX et al, and produced a dvi file from example.tex.
  13.
  14.     Now I'd like to view it.  `xdvi example' runs MakeTeXPK, which
  15. appears to create fonts with gay abandon, althought why it should do so
  16. when the fonts already exist I'll try and solve next.  Currently I'd like
  17. to get MakeTeXPK to work, and reading through it, it would seem to me that
  18. I need a file called /usr/local/lib/texmf/fontname/special.map.  Where do
  19. I get one of those?
  20.
  21.     Details:
  22. MakeTeXPK version 0.5.
  23. web2c-6.1a
  24. web2c.kpathsea-2.2
  25. xdvik-18b
  26. dvipsk-5.58a
  27.
  28. Alpha 3000/800 OSF1 2.0b
  29.
  30.     Thanks in advance.
  31.
  32. Keith Lewis ( keithl@mukluk.cc.monash.edu.au )
